Tips
Having 6 or more agility is recommended. With a low agility you won't have many action points, and therefor cannot take aimed shots at the head, eyes or groin.
There is no difference between having 8 agility versus 9 agility when determining the number of action points your character will have.

Unless using drugs, it's better to have an even number in agility. An odd number in agility will only increase your armor class, which is currently of little importance.
Luck is the odd statistic. It is a combination of fate, karma and, in general, how the universe views this character. Luck will modify many things, and is the most important of all statistics because of that.

Note: Your Luck can be permanently increased by 1 point with an Implant, unless it is already 20, the maximum.

Luck in Combat
*When pulling the trigger luck provides higher critical hit chance. Aimed Attacks are heavily affected by your Luck. Also when you critically miss lower luck means more severe critical miss.

The number of Skill points you will earn at each level is important and the difference between IN 9 and IN 10 is 46, which might considerably affect a character's final outcome. So it might be vital for a crafting character to have 10 in Intelligence, for example, to be able to have all the skills up as fast as possible.

If you are an experimented fallout player, you can calculate the exact number of skill points you will need for your character, so you can choose the value in intelligence which you will really need and to optimize the rest of your build.

Serious PVPers tend to leave intelligence at 2 or 3, sacrificing the high amount of skill points gained per level so they may instead invest the SPECIAL points into endurance, agility, luck, or perception. It is suggested not to leave intelligence at 1 unless you're experienced with character builds, as it may be difficult, if not impossible, to meet the skill requirements for the perks you want.
High Endurance is essential if you don't plan on using a sneak or sniper build. It also influences your resistance against knockdowns and the power of incoming critical damage. You won't be able to get any Lifegiver perks if your registered endurance is below 5. Tank fighters typically have maxed endurance, and any character with 6 endurance or less is considered somewhat fragile. 7 endurance is needed to get all 3 Lifegiver perks.

Tips
For a fighter, a Perception lower than 6 would be really penalizing. It is recommended to have 8, especially if you use long-range weapons. If you don't have much points, take 7, but only if your character can balance with other characteristics (If it is to put one more point in Luck, forget it).
Sometimes, people using drugs can allow themselves values lower than those recommended here, as for example characters full of psycho which will see their Perception coming down to 1.
Raw physical strength. A high Strength is good for physical characters. Modifies: Hit Points, Melee Damage, and Carry Weight. Also you suffer hit chance penalty if you don't have enough Strength to handle your weapon, though this can be countered with increased weapon skill.

Note: Your Strength can be permanently increased by 1 point with an implant, unless it is already 10, the maximum.

Tips
Higher Strength is beneficial to all character builds. Tank builds often have a strength of 5 to allow for Adrenaline Rush. Pugilists often have ST 7 or more. Low strength results in a decreased carry weight, and slightly lower health. Check the Strength requirement for whichever weapon you intend to use. For each point of Strength under a weapon's ST requirement, your Hit Chance is penalized by 20%. However, with no level cap, you can get weapon skill high enough to compensate for low ST. Add drugs and possibly a ST implant, and even a sniper can have proper Hit Chance at max range with base ST 1.

Strength is very important to miners and crafters as well, because they benefit from a high Carry Weight.
Super Cattle Prod (SCP for short) is the best friend of melee fighter.

About This Weapon
*It is the only melee weapon (for now) that has electrical type of damage (along with regular Cattle Prod of course).
*SCP is most effective against Metal Armor which offers no protection against electrical damage. It is also effective against Metal Armor Mark II which offers very little protection.
*A good weapon for most PvE since animals usually have low electrical resistance.

Advantages
*Accurate is a weapon perk which increases the chance to hit by 20%.
*It's critical hit death animation is awesome.
*Electrical resistance can not be boosted by Drugs, so SCP deals the same amount of damage to Psycho-drugged as it would to non-drugged. All other melee weapons have Normal type of damage, so killing druggies in good armor without use of SCP becomes very hard task for melee fighter.
*Electrical resistance is usually lower than or equal to Normal resistance of Armors, except for Tesla Armor.

One Exception
Tesla Armor has 90% electrical and only 20% normal damage reduction. So you'd better always have some Ripper, Super Sledge or Power Fist to face it. However, those who wear Tesla armor usually are drugged too and have 40-50%(without\with Toughness Perk) Normal damage resistance.

How to Obtain
*Merchants rarely sell SCP

Weapon Comparisons
*Min. Damage is 5 points higher than Ripper's (Max. Damage is same for both).
*Average Damage is 1 point lower than Super Sledge's , but SCP's AP cost is point 1 lower.

*Merchants rarely sell SCP, so get Profession: Energy Expert 2 and craft them yourself.

Weapon Comparisons
*Min. Damage is 5 points higher than Ripper's (Max. Damage is same for both).
*Average Damage is 1 point lower than Super Sledge's , but SCP's AP cost is point 1 lower.
Waterworks is an old pre-war facility which generated the electric power for the cities nearby before the Great War.

Description
The facility is located near to the coast, southwest of Lost Hills Bunker. The Waterworks consists of huge water basins where water is stored. Next to them, there is a bigger building which contains the machines and the main reactor to generate electric power. The other buildings don't contain anything of real importance and are used as offices and to store basic equipment.
Since years have passed, slags have made a home in the ruins of waterworks. It is advised to be well prepared before confronting them.

In FOnline: Aftertimes
A whole remade dungeon and is one of the new zones to take control. Inside there are many slags, randomly generated with non-loot-able gear. It is an area where you can take the zone with one player. However, it is advised to go inside with a group of friends since when taking over such place will display a global message of which faction/group is taking over waterworks. Defending against the slags and players can prove overwhelming since there are cramped small areas to holdout from enemy swarms.

Activities
* There are three broken computers inside the facility where you can gather Electronic Parts.
* At the Machinery Plant within the reactor building you can gather chemical components.
* You can also find Empty bottles and Rocks.
* Containers that requires Lockpick to acquire loot.

New Content
* There are Barrels where High Quality Chemical Component spawn in batches of 12
* New loot containers.
* A zone locker for the faction who controls waterworks.
* Player-killers usually camp this area, so it is recommended to go there in groups.

Background
Mariposa Military Base was a top-secret United States military facility built to house Forced Evolutionary Virus research previously conducted at West Tek, located somewhere in the area of the Mariposa unincorporated community in California. The name Mariposa means "butterfly" in Spanish.

History
Pre-War History
The construction of Mariposa started in October 2076 when large progress was made in FEV research, and the government preferred to move the project to a location under military supervision. In January 2077, all the scientists involved in the project moved there with a military squad commanded by Colonel Spindal and Captain Roger Maxson. The FEV project was then moved to Mariposa and tested on human subjects. The vats were giant tanks filled with liquid FEV. As part of the research project, human subjects were dipped inside them and then examined to learn how to control and harness the process. The experiments on humans were kept secret even from Spindel and his soldiers.

Wartime Events
On October 10 2077, Maxson and his men were discovered that the scientists at Mariposa were using military prisoners as test subjects in their experiments with the Forced Evolutionary Virus. Spindel committed suicide five days later and Maxson's men turned to him for leadership. Investigating the base, Maxson and his squad killed all the scientists and declared they were deserting from the army via radio, on October 20. As the army was busy then fighting the Chinese threat, no troops were sent there, and three days later, the Great War began and the bombs were launched.

The Mariposa Military Base survived, the soldiers within protected from the radiation and FEV flooding the wasteland. After burying the scientists in the wastes outside of Mariposa, the soldiers sealed the military base, then headed out into the desert, taking supplies and weapon schematics with them. Captain Maxson led his men and families to the government bunker at Lost Hills, eventually forming the Brotherhood of Steel. The base was left sealed, but over the years, it slowly fell into disrepair, and eventually various creatures made their way inside, mutating due to FEV exposure and infesting the surrounding area, attacking fledgling human settlements and caravans. The problem was becoming increasingly severe, to the point when Harold, a caravan master from the Hub, mounted an expedition in 2102 to locate and destroy the source of mutants.

Master's Army
Dr. Richard Grey was one of the explorers who was part of the expedition, and was the only survivor with Harold. Both landed in vats, and as Harold managed to escape, Grey remained in the base, attracting wanderers around him to make the first Super Mutants. In 2155, they discovered the LA vault, and moved there to build the Cathedral. The base was entrusted to the Lieutenant, one of the greatest supermutant minds to exist. Mariposa was rebuilt and cleaned up, once again becoming the magnificent military base it was before the war. Supermutants roamed the halls, restocking the armories and medical base and soon it became the staging area for their assault on humanity, as well as the only supermutant production center. Then came the Vault Dweller in 2162. It is unknown whether or not he infiltrated the base or blasted his way in - suffice to say, once he was through, Mariposa was little more than a caved-in, smoldering ruin

Enclave's Excavations
In 2236, the Enclave discovered the remnants of the Mariposa Base. Soon, assault squads combed the desert for slaves they could use to mine the military base and get to the vats. One of the squads included soldier Frank Horrigan. Enclave construction crews, as well as human and super mutant slaves began excavations. In September they uncovered FEV, and mutations began to occur in the human workers. Frank Horrigan comes into contact with the virus and is sent to the Enclave labs for study.

In 2237, having obtained the FEV data, the Enclave abandoned the site after more mutations occurred, causing 2nd Generation super mutants to arise. The Enclave left a single squad behind to wipe out the super mutants, but the mutants, using armaments they had cached in the base during excavation, won the battle. The remaining 1st and 2nd Generation super mutant slaves decided to remain in the Base, and the group formed a new community under the leadership of Melchior, whose magic talents had allowed them to hide the weapons.
Its scientists made, for example, the Power Armor and the first version of the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV) before the virus was moved to the Mariposa Military Base.

During the Great War a nuclear missile exploded on the facility's surface, resulting in the destruction of the FEV containment tanks and releasing the virus into the atmosphere, turning the whole area into one of the most irradiated in California.

Haunted by security robots and deadly due to radiation, this location in FOnline: Aftertimes is pretty dangerous for lone travelers. It contains six underground levels that you can access using some old elevators. Rumors say that on the mysterious, underground level 5 you can find pre-war weapons, ammunition and armor.

Elevator Tip
The elevators can be confusing. Note that elevator A only spans levels 1, 2, and 3. Elevator B only spans levels 3, 4, and 6, skipping level 5. Elevator C connects levels 4, 5, and 6. So you must use all three elevators in order to get to level 5. Robots guard most levels and regenerate after you kill them.
Operation Checklist
A fighter, a tumbler with high Lockpick skill, and a mule. Cows are useless here due to high radiation. Two Rad-X and maybe ten RadAway per character. Stims, lockpicks, and repair tools. Picks and tools break, so bring extra. Plan on fighting 22 robots minimum (depending on how long you stay) and bring enough ammo. Does your fighter use a minigun? Then he might need over 1000 rounds. Radios are handy too unless you are okay using an external comm tool like irc or voice chat. Know how to use concurrent doses of RadAway! A working Geiger Counter can also be useful. You should have a plan so that everyone knows not to get stuck on level 5 with nobody on level 6 to fix the generator. Be mindful of the robot respawn cycle so your weaker characters don't get attacked with no fighter there to protect them.

Risks
* Serious radiation levels begin as you approach the Glow, even from within two zones.
* Deadly robots protect the interior levels and respawn and attack you again.
* Access to Level 5 requires temporarily repairing the broken generator on Level 6, and it breaks again very soon.
* Requires concurrent use and multiple doses of RadAway.
* Extended exposure to radiation due to logistical delays: robots, locked containers, heavy loot.
* Surrounding area populated Endless Walkers.
* Collisions with other players who compete for the prized loot.

Rewards
* Sometimes Implants
* Sometimes 2mm EC Gauss ammunition
* Sometimes Motion Sensors, Stealth Boys and Pulse Grenades
* Sometimes special weapons including Vindicators, pulse weapons, and Gauss weapons
* Sometimes special armor including: Enclave Combat Armor, Power Armor, and even Hardened Power Armor
* Access to the most radiated Advanced Workbench that the wasteland has to offer!
* And more. Go there and find out the fun way!

Ares Rocket Silo (also called Ares Military Base) is a custom area unique to FOnline: Aftertimes located up toward the far north east of the world map.

Background
The Rocket Silo appears as the ruins of a pre-war nuclear missile launching site. Behind the large fences full of holes, there is a warehouse building with containers. In front of it, there are two closed silo doors, and it has one fully opened silo door, which leads to the conclusion that at least one rocket must have been launched long time ago. There is a crashed vertibird and some tents in the area, which should be checked for valuable contents if you can survive long enough to do so.

Activities
In the past, Ares Rocket Silo was empty and abandoned, serving mainly as a place for GM-hosted events. However, recently this site has been overrun with super mutants and is now in full use as a major base of operations for them. The underground levels are now accessible and worthy items, combat gear and blueprints can be found inside and even in locked containers on the surface. Be advised, as challenging as it can be to fight the mutants on the surface, fighting the ones inside is even more difficult. Many have died trying and their piles of gear can often be found littering the floors inside.

Mutants respawn time is 30 minutes.
