Tools are specialized items that allow you to perform tasks that would otherwise be unavailable, or amplify your skills/stats when equipped.

Most tools must be present in your active hand slot for their effect to apply.

The strength of the lock depends on the Robbery skill of the crafter; every lock spawns a key once it's used on a lockable container; to lock such a container, place the lock in your active hand slot then use it on the container you'd like to lock; the container has to be open when the lock is being installed.

  • Game Rule 8C: "Installing fingerprint locks on doors or cars in bases that do not belong to you for the purpose of griefing other players is forbidden."
  • The owner can use the Science skill on a Fingerlock-protected vehicle to enable shared access, allowing others to register their fingerprints via the Traps skill. This also works on fingerlock-protected doors and containers. Fingerlock access is account-wide.
