Your character has been poisoned. Poison will do damage over a period of time until you're cured or it passes from your system.
More information
The character was most likely bitten or stung by one of the poisonous creatures found in the wasteland such as the common Radscorpion. The character will receive a small amount of damage over time until the poison is naturally expelled out of the body. The rate of damage received depends on the amount of poison inside the body.
- High poison resistance reduces the duration of a character's poison.
- Support perks Rad Resistance and Snakeater both help.
- Poison can be cured with an antidote.
Warning
Characters with HP below 0 who receive poison damage will die immediately even if their HP is above -20.
While poisoned the amount of HP recovered when using First Aid is reduced by 50%.
