Damage Protection is a reduction of damage from any source, and cannot be bypassed.
If you have many sources of Damage Protection, they all work seperate (so first 5 then 10 then 10).
It only wont work for EMP damage.
Also, there is 2 type of Damage Protection: PVP and PVE. For exemple, the "Advanced Plate" perk on armors can five 15% Damage Protection in PVP.
Note: Damage Protection can be negative which will add damage to you.
Note: END, CH, LK, PVE perks, mutant, randomboy, clone, psycho, paramedic, finesse (adding Damage Protection to target), cyborg (getting Damage Protection too) alien (losing Damage Protection), armor perks, they all have some sort of adding Damage Protection to you or to your target.
