Tommy Gun

Basic information
This gun has an attractive magazine size and rounds-per-burst, but the damage is very inconsistent -- a gambler's weapon, perfect for a mobster. On the other hand, .45 rounds are laughably quick and easy to make since they use raw junk instead of metal parts, so impoverished low-level players might find this weapon a very attractive one if they want to level up by hunting critters. For its tier, it does pretty high damage per burst (roughly 180 compared to the combat shotgun’s ~130 on average), but again the damage can also swing very low. If you are a burst-specialized character with crafting abilities, consider the Combat Shotgun instead against enemies with high DR/DT and for more consistent damage – this weapon will never be effective with enemies that have substantial DR/DT because of the underwhelming properties of the .45 caliber round, whereas the combat shotgun can be quite effective against armored enemies when using flechette cartridges or slugs. Another extremely important and easy-to-overlook drawback is that this gun is two-handed, despite the fact that it is technically a submachine gun. One handers and gunslingers look elsewhere.
