User interface (UI) is a collective name for all the buttons, menus, windows, bars, counters, timers, and message boxes that appear on the screen when FOnline 3 is running.

Fix-Boy

Fix-boy is a tool in your Pip-Boy that helps you craft various items.

To open the Fix-boy window press Fix-button.gif button on user interface or use the shortcut "F" key.
You have filters depending on type item you can craft:

  • all - display all items
  • weapons, armor, ammo, drugs - displays respectively: weapons, armor, ammo and drugs
  • misc - all items that cant count to other category

In right-up corner you have number of how many items fixboy will craft if you click fix button. You can craft up to 100 items at one time(depending on how many resources you have) by click fix all button. With active fix all button number of crafting items change to 00.

Materials and Tools

All items need some materials to be crafted.
Some items need crafting tools, workbenches or Advanced Workbenches to be crafted.

Crafting list

There is a list of items available to craft.

  • Item with green name - can be crafted right away.
  • Item with red name - can't be crafted due not meeting item requirements (materials, crafting tools etc).

After gaining Professions or using Blueprints some new items might appear in your Fix-Boy.

Crafting process

To craft an item:

  • Open a Fix-boy window and click on an item to craft from the list.
  • Click on desired item name to select it and see it's requirements.
  • If you meet item requirements press the "FIX" button to create an item.

Pip-Boy

Pip-Boy 2000 Handheld Device.

The Pip-Boy 2000 Personal Information Processor is a small hand-held device, much like a PDA. Not to be confused with the Pip-Boy 2000 Plus, a wrist-worn model which is used by Chosen One, and Vault Dweller.

This device is capable of many useful functions, including:

  • Archive menu is location that your Pip-Boy will save data received from any Holotape that may be read.
  • Automaps renders terrain, stored in memory, of any location you visit.
  • Status screen helps you to keep track of any quests you may undertake. Another feature of this menu is the character's cooldown timers. If you press Statistics you can view the list of awarded players in certain categories. You can also see there which gangs control which cities in the Town Control system.

Preview

Klamath Town menu, which allows to choose entrance and preview it, seen in-game.

To enter a location directly from the world map click on the triangle icon, available when you stand still. It will move you into the location and in-case it’s a Town straight on the main entrance. It is however advised to press the Town World button. This will bring you a menu, where you can see the available entrances to a certain city. Click on the triangle with an eye in it to see the preview.

This preview will show you the area (based on your Perception) you enter (this way you can avoid getting yourself killed right after entering the town). Remember to preview location you want to enter few times so you get view from diffrent 'spawn points'. You can highlight contours of players and NPCs covered by buildings by pressing Contours button while previewing location.
