The World of FOnline 3, also known as The Wasteland, is a dangerous place for the unprepared.

Below is a list of all public locations (visible to everyone by default), sorted left to right, top to bottom based on their world map position.

Green locations are safe (PvP is disabled); yellow locations are usually safe (PvP is enabled but they're guarded); white locations are always dangerous.

Note that the colors used by the table do not reflect the colors you'll encounter in-game; see the World map section for more information.

World map

The world map is quite large, and attempting to traverse it often results in random encounters, including special encounters, which can be quite dangerous. A high Outdoorsman skill helps you avoid unwanted random encounters, as does travelling by car. Simply idling on the world map is safe.

Occasionally, you may see temporary event locations appear on the map, such as the infamous Danger Zone or various crashed vehicles. Proceed with caution.

Below is a map showing all publicly available permanent locations; clicking them will take you to their corresponding articles. Most locations can, and indeed should be previewed before entering.

Note: Location colors depend on the lore faction currently in control:

  • Black locations are controlled by the Enclave
  • White locations are controlled by the Brotherhood of Steel
  • Orange locations are controlled by the NCR
  • Blue locations are controlled by Vault City
  • Red locations are controlled by the Master's Army
  • Green locations are neutral
