Character

A player character (PC) is a character created (via the registration menu) and controlled by a human using the FOnline 3 client.

Standard Options

Player characters can be in any one of the following three states:

Online: FOnline 3 client is connected. Offline: FOnline 3 client is disconnected. The character is logging out, and the (off) label is displayed next to their character name. Remaining in that state for three consecutive minutes will result in the character being logged out, but until then, the character can still be interacted with (healed, killed, etc.) as if it were online. Logged out: The character has disappeared from the game world and cannot be interacted with until it comes back online. It will re-appear when someone logs into it again, provided that the hex occupied by the character when it disappeared from the game isn't blocked. Full logout is not available in many public locations to prevent a situation where another player blocks your hex thus making you unable to log back in.

As your character levels up, you will need to make choices regarding its development. This is known as "building" your character.

Generally speaking, there are two types of characters:

• PvP characters built to kill other players, and
• PvE characters built to kill NPCs or perform a specific support role (crafting, trading, repairing, etc.).

If a player has more than one character (their "main"), they're called "alts."

Once created, a character cannot be deleted; it can only be rerolled.
