Rerolling interface with some free rerolls from daily quests

The ~reroll command allows you to remake your character while retaining its current level.

Rerolling lets you reset your SPECIAL, class, skills, perks, traits, etc.

Any War Event stats you have installed and skill books you have read will be returned to your inventory. Implants will also be placed back in your inventory, alongside free implant installation tokens.

Character rerolling is not to be confused with armor/weapon perk rerolling.

Procedure

To reroll a character, use the ~reroll command while in a base.

Rerolling has the base cost of your level * 1000 currency.

However, if your Barter skill is at 150+ (or 130+ for characters with the Bloody Mess trait), rerolling will only cost you 10,000 currency, regardless of your level.

Characters that are still in Rockside can be rerolled for free.

Important information

• Rerolling will remove ALL the currency from your character's inventory. Make sure you only have the minimum necessary amount.
• If you need to leave your base before you finish reading your leveling book, leave it in the base where it's safe. It won't be possible to get it back if you lose it!
• You can gain extra skill points per book via temporary SPECIAL buffs. Take Mentats, Roentgen Rum and equip armor with the Bonus Intelligence armor perk on it. If your character qualifies for the Educated support perk, get it as soon as possible.
• Make sure to choose a level perk every 3 levels! Perks not chosen are perks lost.
• If you gain a level other than by reading your leveling book while there are still levels left in the book, the book will be rendered unusable and you will have to reroll again.

IMPORTANT: if you reroll into the Chosen One class, stop your reroll at level 30, leave your leveling book in your base, and go to Klamath to become the Chosen One. Once you do, pick your extra perks right away or they will be lost.
IMPORTANT: if you reroll into the Cyborg class, do not install implants with tokens or currency or they will be lost after your next reroll!

For a smooth rerolling experience, follow these steps:

1. Put the exact amount of currency (caps work best because they're the cheapest) that you need into your inventory
2. Use the ~reroll command by typing it in the chat
3. Choose your new SPECIAL and traits and press the "Init Reroll!" button
3a.You should now have all of your implants, books, and WE stats, as well as a Book of Achievement in your inventory
4. Before you start reading, use Mentats and Roentgen Rum to buff your Intelligence
5. Read all of your Outdoorsman books and Science books
5a.For faster reading, use ctrl + left click
6. If your base Intelligence is at least 8, drop everything safely in your base (ctrl + D) and get the Educated support perk. Your Science skill must be ≥ 100%.
7. Return to base and start reading your Book of Achievement, carefully choosing a level perk every 3 levels
8. Take your class perk asap; it will allow you to gain all of the remaining levels with a single click
9. Type ~pve to conveniently select your PvE perks using a dialog window

The Book of Achievement is generated whenever a character is rerolled. It can only be used by the character that was rerolled to generate it. Each time you use it, you go up by one level. Don't forget to pick a level perk once every three levels! Once it restores your final level, it disappears.

Do not level up or gain XP in any other way during the process of reading the book or you may lose the remaining levels!

Tip: In the unlikely scenario that you end up one level below what you were at before the reroll, use the First Aid skill on yourself and the issue will be fixed.
