Traits are optional character modifications that can be selected upon its creation.

Unlike perks, traits provide their bonuses at a significant cost.

There is a default limit of two traits per character, but completing the second chapter of the main quest unlocks an additional trait slot for a total of 3 that can be set using the ~traits command.

The table below shows all of the currently available traits. Note that the Regulator class uses a much different table.

  • Healing rate cooldown reduced by 10 seconds
  • +25 healing rate
  • Restores 5 hit points 3 seconds after an NPC hits you
  • Halved duration of drug effects

  • -20% attack delay for single shots
  • +5 lethal damage
  • Shooting NPCs has a 15% chance to put the ammo you're shooting them with in their inventory
    (only valid for weapons capable of aimed attacks)

  • Total damage reduced by 25%
Skilled.Gif
Gifted
  • Skill points per level reduced to 2 x INT
  • Additional sources of Intelligence don't grant bonus skill points per level

  • Party points increased by 20%
  • +7% hit points
  • Speech cap increased by 100
  • -5 damage taken from NPC attacks
  • You can't own slaves
  • Killing an NPC applies 5 Weakness stacks
  • Killing a player removes the hit point bonus for 20 minutes
    (disabled during PvP events)

Heavy Handed
  • All melee attacks have a chance to apply an effect to your opponent, see the main article for details
  • +2 lethal damage
  • Minimum melee damage capped at 15% vs. NPCs
  • Critical table limited to just the first four tiers

  • Your enemies have more critical failures
  • Grants immunity to Heavy Handed effects
  • Restores 10% hit points when an NPC tries to hit you but misses
  • You have more critical failures

  • +15% total damage
  • +10% damage resistance penetration vs. NPCs
  • All damage resistances reduced by 10%

  • Grants +10% to all XP gains
  • Increases accuracy by 100
One Hander.gif

  • Grants +20% extra damage when using one-handed weapons (increased to 40% for pistols)
  • +10% extra damage vs. NPCs when using one-handed weapons (including Punch Weapons)

  • Action points increased by 2
  • +5% maximum chance to hit when targeting NPCs
