| + | |||
| + | Instanced dungeons are dungeons that have been created ("spawned") by the player. They can only be seen by the player that spawned them (although they do allow you to bring others along) and disappear after a set amount of time that varies, but you can typically expect to have at least 30 minutes. The dungeons will appear as a white circle (purple for contracts) somewhere on the map; it might take a while to find them. | ||
| + | |||
| + | Enemies do not respawn in these dungeons. | ||
| + | |||
| + | ===Dungeon maps=== | ||
| + | |||
| + | ====Map to the farm==== | ||
| + | | ||
| + | This spawns a farm infested with pigrats and molerats. It's by far the easiest spawnable dungeon, and a good way to get some experience for a beginner. | ||
| + | |||
| + | The farm contains average loot, and one locked container that a chance to spawn T3 gear. | ||
| + | |||
| + | Opening another farm won't remove the previous one from the world map, but don't expect them to last for more than 30 minutes. | ||
| + | |||
| + | ====Map to the settlement==== | ||
| + | | ||
| + | This spawns a settlement overrun by deathclaws. They are no joke for a new player; make sure you come well-prepared. | ||
| + | |||
| + | Opening another settlement won't remove the previous one from the world map, but don't expect them to last for more than 30 minutes. | ||
| + | |||
| + | ====Map to Military Base==== | ||
| + | | ||
| + | This spawns a military base occupied by robots. They are not too hard to defeat. Military Base maps are popular (expensive) as they have a chance to spawn SPECIAL/combat implants in the final room. | ||
| + | |||
| + | There are lots of lootable areas, some locked. It might take a while to find all the keys. | ||
| + | |||
| + | The settlement lasts for about 24 hours before disappearing from your map. Spawning another one will replace the previous. | ||
| + | |||
| + | ====Map to the ruins==== | ||
| + | | ||
| + | This spawns some ruins overrun by human enemies. They do not have much health (200-300) and don't hit very hard, but they come in large groups. | ||
| + | |||
| + | The dungeon has some lootable containers with T3 gear. Go up the stairs in the top building (be ready to get swarmed) and at the back of the room you'll find a dungeon locker (it appears to be at least T2) that can spawn Upgrade Parts, Vertibird parts and SPECIAL/combat implants | ||
| + | |||

| + | ====Map to Interplay Studio==== | ||
| + | | ||
| + | |||
| + | Interplay Studios is a rare spawnable dungeon that does not have any enemies, just loot. The trash can contains a Small Piece Of Machinery, and there's some ammo in the fridge. Note that the location will disappear once you leave it, don't take your car to it. Use the computer once you're done looting, it will bring you to the world map with a WE stat in your inventory. | ||

| + | == NPC builds == | ||
| + | |||
| + | The game builds NPCs by first choosing their class and then selecting items (perks, traits, implants) from the lists below, in the exact order shown. | ||
| + | |||
| + | The number of items an NPC receives from its list depends on its tier and the second number in the game's current version string (e.g., if the current version is 6.4.1, the second number is 4). T1/T2 NPCs get the number of perks equal to the second number plus one, T3/T4 NPCs get two times that, and T5/T6 NPCs get triple the number. The game displays the current version in the message box every time you log in. | ||

Dungeons are locations with nothing but a large amount of hostile NPCs that typically drop better loot than can be found in random encounters.
- Most dungeon locations are public, which means your PvE adventure can quickly turn into a PvP battle.
- The higher the tier of the dungeon, the better the loot.
- Many dungeons have an exclusive T4 part that they can be target-farmed for.
- Dungeon NPCs respawn ~20 to 30 minutes after being killed.
- For NPC builds, see below.
- Dungeon lockers get refilled with loot 30 to 60 minutes after being opened.
- Every 6 hours or so, an "Incredible Treasures" event happens, displaying a server message that "Treasure Hunters report that incredible treasures are located in [dungeon name]." During the event, NPCs in the affected dungeon will be boosted: they'll give 3 to 8x the normal XP and drop items as if they were T4 to T6 patrol NPCs. Additionally, lockers in that dungeon will spawns 5x their normal loot until the event ends.

Instanced dungeons
Instanced dungeons are dungeons that have been created ("spawned") by the player. They can only be seen by the player that spawned them (although they do allow you to bring others along) and disappear after a set amount of time that varies, but you can typically expect to have at least 30 minutes. The dungeons will appear as a white circle (purple for contracts) somewhere on the map; it might take a while to find them.
Enemies do not respawn in these dungeons.
Dungeon maps
Map to the farm
This spawns a farm infested with pigrats and molerats. It's by far the easiest spawnable dungeon, and a good way to get some experience for a beginner.
The farm contains average loot, and one locked container that a chance to spawn T3 gear.
Opening another farm won't remove the previous one from the world map, but don't expect them to last for more than 30 minutes.
Map to the settlement
This spawns a settlement overrun by deathclaws. They are no joke for a new player; make sure you come well-prepared.
Opening another settlement won't remove the previous one from the world map, but don't expect them to last for more than 30 minutes.
Map to Military Base
This spawns a military base occupied by robots. They are not too hard to defeat. Military Base maps are popular (expensive) as they have a chance to spawn SPECIAL/combat implants in the final room.
There are lots of lootable areas, some locked. It might take a while to find all the keys.
The settlement lasts for about 24 hours before disappearing from your map. Spawning another one will replace the previous.
Map to the ruins
This spawns some ruins overrun by human enemies. They do not have much health (200-300) and don't hit very hard, but they come in large groups.
The dungeon has some lootable containers with T3 gear. Go up the stairs in the top building (be ready to get swarmed) and at the back of the room you'll find a dungeon locker (it appears to be at least T2) that can spawn Upgrade Parts, Vertibird parts and SPECIAL/combat implants
Map to Interplay Studio
Interplay Studios is a rare spawnable dungeon that does not have any enemies, just loot. The trash can contains a Small Piece Of Machinery, and there's some ammo in the fridge. Note that the location will disappear once you leave it, don't take your car to it. Use the computer once you're done looting, it will bring you to the world map with a WE stat in your inventory.
NPC builds
The game builds NPCs by first choosing their class and then selecting items (perks, traits, implants) from the lists below, in the exact order shown.
The number of items an NPC receives from its list depends on its tier and the second number in the game's current version string (e.g., if the current version is 6.4.1, the second number is 4). T1/T2 NPCs get the number of perks equal to the second number plus one, T3/T4 NPCs get two times that, and T5/T6 NPCs get triple the number. The game displays the current version in the message box every time you log in.
