Pip-Boy quests
A Brahmin Herdsman's Job	NCR	Walkthrough  Interact with the bulletin board near the inner city entrance to learn about the job. Talk to Roger Westin (in the area behind a forcefield) to start the quest. His foreman, Felix, will tell you the where to go next. Go there and investigate. Solve the problem. All the brahmin must survive. Return to Mr. Westin.
A Man's Job	New Adytum	Walkthrough  Talk to Hammilton in the New Adytum library. He'll ask you to track down and kill a runaway worker. Go to the Boneyard train station and ask four people about the missing man. The fourth person will direct you to the next train station; repeat asking four people at each station. While you can visit the stations in any order, you'll get the best experience if you start with Boneyard, then go to SF, then VC, then NCR. Eventually, you'll need to talk to a shady man at the NCR train station who will mark Hammilton's hideout location on your map. Confront the target and make your decision. If you spare him and have low Charisma, Hammilton sends thugs after you.
A Tent in the Wasteland	Other	Walkthrough  At level 2, look for a new small location on your map near The Hub, New Vault City, or NCR. Find a farming family living in a tent; talk to them to get the quest: clearing the rats infesting their farm. Go to the marked location. You must be alone, on foot, and quick (the farm will disappear within 7 days). Exterminate the rats and report back to the family at their tent.
Buy Cigarettes for Buster	NCR	Walkthrough  Talk to Buster (a dwarf shopkeeper inside one of the tents); he'll ask you to get cigarettes from the Rawhide Saloon. Go to the Rawhide Saloon and talk to Mira, the bartender, to obtain cigarettes. Deliver the cigarettes to Buster to complete the quest.
Collect the Radscorpion Eggs	Junktown	Walkthrough  Talk to Doc Larrikin in Junktown hospital. Accept the quest to bring back 5 radscorpion eggs. A map location appears: the lair of the Black Claw radscorpions. Bring some antidote. Kill radscorpions until you have at least 5 radscorpion eggs. Return the eggs to Doc Larrikin to complete the quest and receive the Snakeater support perk.
Get a Dean's Electronics Book	New Adytum	Walkthrough  In the Boneyard train station, speak to the monk in a grey robe (your Charisma must be 4 or higher). The monk will direct you to the administration building; follow his directions. One of the staff members will ask you to procure a Dean's Electronics book; deliver it to complete the quest.
Holodisk for Thomas Moore	NCR	Walkthrough  Complete A Brahmin Herdsman's Job for Mr. Westin, then ask him for more work. He'll give you an holodisc to deliver to Thomas Moore in New Vault City. Locate Thomas Moore and give him the tape, then report back to Mr. Westin.
Iguana Pete's Missing Son	The Hub	Walkthrough  Find Iguana Pete in The Hub (Market area); he'll ask you to find his long‑lost son. Go to the NCR train station and start asking around. Once you find out that the son is Ranger Captain Bob Jr., talk to him to deliver Iguana Pete's message.
Industrial Park Message	New Adytum	Walkthrough  Take the job from the punk woman in the Salvagers area of New Adytum. She'll give you a letter to deliver to the industrial park nearby. Go there but be well-armed: it's an ambush.
Find Joseph, the scavenger	The Hub	Walkthrough  Talk to the sad wife in The Hub (Oldtown area). She'll share that her husband hasn’t returned from his trip to New Adytum. Go to the Salvagers area of New Adytum and find the hangman; talk to the nearby NPCs to confirm the identity. Report back to the sad wife in The Hub to complete the quest.
Explore the Cathedral Cellar	Cathedral	Walkthrough  Talk to Patrick inside the Cathedral temple to accept the quest. It must be done solo. Eliminate all threats and search the area thoroughly (you won't be able to re‑enter once you turn in the quest). Return to Patrick to claim your reward.
Medical Investigation	New Vault City	Walkthrough  In New Vault City, talk to "Doc" Andrew in the "hospital." He'll ask you to investigate train station residents for signs of medical issues. Visit all four train stations and question four people at each one then return to "Doc" Andrew to claim your reward.
Montag's Water Pump	New Adytum	Walkthrough  Talk to Montag in New Adytum; your Repair must be 50% or higher, and you need to have a Tool to convince him you can fix the pump. Use the Tool on the water pump to fix it.
Optimizing the Power House	Junktown	Walkthrough  Talk to Thomas (power plant technician) in Junktown (needs level 3). Obtain machine parts from Boyce in Junktown. Acquire three Electronic Parts elsewhere (the general store should have some) and then use Repair on each of the three generators. Use Science on each generator to optimize them, then flip on the three power switches (one for each generator) and report back to Thomas.
Pay Back Mira's Debt	NCR	Walkthrough  Talk to Mira, the bartender at the Rawhide Saloon in NCR; she'll give you 100 caps to take to Dusty, the owner of Dusty's Cantina inside the city walls. Give the caps to Dusty then return to Mira.
Radscorpion Subway	San Francisco	Walkthrough  Die near San Francisco to enter its respawn location then talk to Chen inside the big building. He'll ask you to clear the subway of radscorpions; do just that, then report back for your reward.
Rats in Mines	Redding	Walkthrough  Go to the Kokoweef Mine office in Redding and talk to Marge LeBarge; she'll direct you to Caminetto. Find Caminetto at the Malamute Saloon in Redding and do what he says.
Repair Becky's Craps Table	The Den	Walkthrough  Talk to Becky at Becky's Casino Bar in The Den; she'll ask you to repair her craps table. Your Repair skill needs to be 50% or higher; make sure it is because you'll only get one try.
Increase Redding's Jet supply	Redding	Walkthrough  Speak to Dangerous Dan McGrew in Redding (you'll need Charisma 5 and Intelligence 6). He'll tell you about the jet shortage. Go to New Reno and explain the issue to Renesco; he'll want proof. Return to Redding and speak to Doc Johnson to get a list of jet addicts in town; this will convince Renesco that there's a problem. Report back to Dangerous Dan McGrew to finish the quest.
The Gun Runner Delivery	The Hub	Walkthrough  Talk to Jacob, a storekeeper in the Oldtown district of The Hub; he'll ask you to deliver a message to Mashal at the Gunrunners Fortress in New Adytum. Act as the middleman, relaying a short back‑and‑forth conversation between Jacob and Marshal.
The inoperative Mr. Handy Robot	Junktown	Walkthrough  Talk to Thomas the power plant technician in Junktown about the Mr. Handy robot in the generator room. Inspect the malfunctioning Mr. Handy inside the power house and report your findings. Buy the part you need from the general store in the Hub (800 caps, negotiable). Return to Junktown and interact with the robot to replace the part, then talk to Thomas again.
The Rail Line Gang	NCR	Walkthrough  Talk to Feargus in the lobby of Tandi's office in NCR. He'll send you to Gunther in the next room. Gunther will tell you about a gang menacing the railroad. Travel to their camp northeast of NCR and get rid of them, then return to NCR to complete the quest.
Water Merchant Contracts	The Hub	Walkthrough  Talk to the farmer standing near the water pipe in The Hub. Go where he tells you and negotiate for him. The higher your Speech and Charisma, the better the outcome.
Minor quests
Abandoned Bunker	Junktown	Walkthrough  Talk to Earl the Scout in the bar near Junktown's south entrance. Buy him a beer. He'll send you to New Adytum to find a man with a scar on his face. Talk New Adytum NPCs until directed to Necropolis. In Necropolis, talk to NPCs until you learn about a ghoul named Wally. Find Wally to finish the quest. The Old Bunker base costs 350,000 local currency and you must be a faction leader to buy it.
Bring a shovel to Dan	Gecko, The Hub, Redding	Walkthrough  Find Dan in Redding, Hub, or Gecko. Bring him a shovel. Receive a small reward.
Bring booze for April	The Den, New Reno, New Vault City	Walkthrough  Find April in New Reno, The Den, or New Vault City. Bring her a bottle of Booze. Receive a small reward.
Bring junk for Emma	New Adytum, NCR, San Francisco	Walkthrough  Find Emma in NCR, New Adytum, or San Francisco. Bring her 2 pieces of Junk. Receive a small reward.
Bring Little Jesus Mordino's briefcase to Metzger	New Reno	Walkthrough  Talk to Little Jesus Mordino in the Desperado casino. Accept the job to deliver a briefcase to Metzger in The Den. Travel to The Den and give the briefcase to Metzger. Return to Little Jesus Mordino to finish the quest.
Bring radscorpions tails for Mark	Junktown, Modoc	Walkthrough  Find Mark in Modoc or Junktown. Bring him 2 Scorpion Tails. Receive a small reward.
Convince Doc Johnson to stop selling jet to Redding	Redding	Walkthrough  If your Charisma is 9 or higher, you might be able to convince Doc Johnson to stop selling Jet.
Deliver Jet to join the Mordino family	New Reno	Walkthrough  Once you complete the delivery to Metzger, talk to Lil' Jesus again. He'll give you Jet to sell. Here's how to handle the customers: Tell Miss Kitty in Cat's Paw that you work for the Mordinos. Tell Angelina Bishop that you're a freelancer. Tell the Corsican Brothers that you represent the Mordinos. Take Mentats before talking to Jules, T-Ray (Gas Station), and Monte (Jungle Gym underground). Ask Renesco what he's selling then offer him Jet. Jagged Jimmy J will try to buy the entire case; refuse and sell him a lesser amount. Once you've talked to everybody, return to Lil' Jesus.
Explore San Francisco for Lilly in the Headquarters	New Vault City	Walkthrough  Talk to Lilly; she'll ask you to explore San Francisco. Go there and talk to Dr. Fung, make sure you exhaust his dialog options. Return to Lilly within 24 hours to successfully complete the quest.
Explore the Stranded Ship	Klamath	Walkthrough  Talk to Meloy and accept the quest. Find the quest location (it's somewhere to the west of Klamath) Wander around the ship opening every possible container until you find Meloy's metal case. Return it to him to complete the quest.
Give Nuka-Cola to Metzger	The Den	Walkthrough  Talk to Metzger. Then talk to him again with a Nuka-Cola in your inventory. He'll ask you to give him the bottle. Do it to complete the quest.
Make some deal for Whiskey Bob	Klamath	Walkthrough  Talk to Whiskey Bob in Maida Buckner’s bar. Buy him a drink, then ask for a job. Go to The Den and deliver a message to Frankie in the local bar, The Hole. Return to Whiskey Bob to complete the quest.
Repair Geiger Counter for Mantis, the ghoul	NCR	Walkthrough  Talk to Mantis the Ghoul at the NCR train station. Ask him about storms, then offer to repair his Geiger Counter (your Repair must be at least 120%). Hand him the fixed Geiger Counter to complete the quest.
Scavenge for Lorraine	New Adytum	Walkthrough  Talk to Lorraine the Scavenger Gather crafting materials as instructed, then use Jargo’s workbench to craft two pistols. Talk to Lorraine again to complete the quest.
